3D Laser Scanning Process

Start by describing your project when you ‘Request a Quote”. If you know the square footage of the building or room, enter that information, along with a basic idea of what you want to accomplish.

A cost estimate for the project can be delivered to you in a few business days, or less.

We can work together to schedule a time for laser scanning of the project area. Scanning usually takes less than an hour for a 2,000 square foot home. We also measure critical dimension by hand to verify the accuracy of the final drawings.

The scanner takes thousands and thousands of photographs of the area. These images are stitched together in a continuous 3-dimensional model which you can view and control online.

The finished floor plans or 3D model delivered to you will contain the geometry of only the walls, doors, windows, stairs, ceilings and floors. Turn-around time is usually two business days or less.

Historic Houses and Barns

Valley Forge, Pennsylvania

Growing up in Valley Forge made it easy to appreciate the many historic houses and old wood barns in the area. Located 30 minutes from Philadelphia in Chester County and part of the original land grant from William Penn in 1682. Valley Forge National Park is well known as the winter encampment of George Washington and the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War in 1777.

Fairmount Park in Philadelphia is also home to one of the finest collections of Georgian and Federal Style houses in the country. These and other houses on the “Main Line” (route 30) between Lancaster and Philadelphia are the inspiration for my life-long enthusiasm for architecture and historic preservation.
